Jessen Auditorium Renovation – The University of Texas at Austin
Located in the historic Homer Rainey Hall at the heart of the UT campus, Jessen Auditorium has hosted numerous events at the University, including the Butler School of Music’s Jessen Concert Series of Distinguished Faculty Artists, symposia for the UT School of Architecture, and the President’s State of the University Address. The 300-seat auditorium is one of six buildings nestled along the architecturally significant South Mall area. The Jessen Auditorium Renovation involved the repair and replacement of the existing AHU-4 mechanical system in order to eliminate noise and vibration, bring the system up to code, and stop the moisture damage to finish systems. Encotech engineered designs to eliminate noise and vibration occurring in the facility, as well as designs to replace the existing supply duct work, replace/refurbish the controls, reduce condensation along the duct system, and bring the outside air intake up to code. Encotech also designed upgrades and modifications to the electrical system based on these HVAC changes and engineered upgrades to lighting controls.
